About

Thank you for stopping by my website.  I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years now.  Starting out as a photojournalist for a daily newspaper, my work as a portrait photographer became more desired leaving my roots as a press photographer behind.  However with that, I took with me the desire to create images that are real... aka a bit of your soul in each image with a side dish of your spirit.

I like to tell inquires that my type of photography is not for everyone.  No cheesy stuff here, but rather images that you will want to pass on to future generations.  Images that show what's inside of you rather than the pearly white outside.
I am a strong believer that perhaps the best image of you or your children is not the one with the biggest smile or toothy grin, but the one where the eyes bring you to a place of happiness.  It's a look.  A look that only a parent knows.  A look of immense beauty that a husband sees in his wife.

If you have ever run your finger over a photograph that contained a loved one's face, then you will know what I mean.

If you need to know what kind of education I have to garner your call, I will gladly spout off my college education and constant continuing education or my list of awards.  The more important thing to know is that I cannot under any circumstances, foresee myself doing nothing that recording a moment in your life for the rest of mine.

And if you must know, I love beach sunsets and sunrises, mashed potatoes and 5th Avenue bars. (not at the same time of course!)  I dance like Elaine in the Seinfield show and frankly, couldn't care less what others think.

I couldn't imagine doing anything else in life but to create images for you that your children will cherish in years to come.

- Joe McNally

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
